Welcome to Miami
I slept through my alarm this morning. That is the first time that has happened since starting the tour, I am relatively sure that it will happen again. I didn't get a chance to work out this morning, I had to get on the road and head to Miami. After the 14-hour drive a couple of days ago, this four hour trip will be nice and easy.
What I listened to in the car:
You Made it Weird – Natasha Leggero
Doug Loves Movies
Music
My host in Miami is my sister's lovely friend Tina. Tina was flying home from a bachelorette party in Las Vegas so I had some time to kill before I got to her place. I have a bad back from an accident when I was a teenager, so once a week I get a massage. This was easier in New York where I had a regular massage therapist (Mandi, whom I miss terribly). Now that I am living on the road, it is more important than ever that I get regular massages, but it is also more difficult to find a good massage therapist from city to city. I found a place called Tokyo Massage and was pleasantly surprised. I was stretched out and massaged wonderfully and felt 100% better upon walking out the door.
After the massage I headed over to Tina's apartment and was greeted by this view.
Her apartment is spectacular. Neither of us had eaten yet so we headed to one of her favorite Brazilian restaurants called Boteco. Although Tina is one of my sister's closest friends, she and I have not gotten a chance to really get to know each other over the years. These next few days will remedy that.
