Taking it Easy
As much as this trip is about baseball, it is also about seeing as much of America as I can. As this was my last day in Miami, I decided to go to South Beach. Unfortunately, I woke up to cloudy skies and scattered rain showers that kept me inside. This turned out to be a blessing however because I found myself taking a much needed nap in the middle of the afternoon. I need to pace myself as the driving and days baking in the hot sun are going to start catching up to me soon.
Tina, my amazing host for this leg of the tour, did my laundry for me last night while I was at the game. I have some incredible friends without whom I don't know if this trip would have been possible
In addition to doing my laundry, Tina took me out to dinner and fed me some of the best crab stuffed mahi mahi I have ever had. My future hosts have a high bar to clear after my experience with Tina.
I worked on the blog and the podcast today as well. For those of you who are following me in real time let me apologize for the gaps in my posting. As I am doing this tour primarily by myself it is difficult to carve out enough time to post and record every day. As long as you are patient with me I assure you I will have a post for every day of this tour. This is the moment where I guilt you into signing up for the mailing list if you have not already done so. By signing up for the mailing list or my twitter you will always know when new content is posted.
Today was a day for me to take it easy. Tomorrow my day includes a a nine plus hour drive heading north to Atlanta.
